Diogo Barros Pires

Diogo Barros Pires, born in 1985, is a contemporary figurative artist based in Lisbon, Portugal. His academic journey began with a degree in Economics from the University of Lisbon. He later pursued photography training in Prague and completed the Advanced Course of Visual Arts at AR.CO in Lisbon. ​

Pires's artwork delves into the intricate relationships between memories, individuals, and their environments.Emphasizing drawing as both a standalone medium and a foundational element of his painting process, he creates expressive depictions of contemporary subjects that possess a timeless and otherworldly quality. ​
